Terms and Conditions

By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

In these Terms & Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SPARES.IE. “You” and “your” refer to the person using our website or purchasing products from us.

Products

SPARES.IE sells domestic appliance spare parts, replacement parts, accessories, consumables and small domestic appliances through our website.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and compatibility information displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.

However, product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual product, including in colour, packaging or labelling.

Where a product is described as compatible with a particular appliance, model or manufacturer, this does not necessarily mean that the product is manufactured by or affiliated with that manufacturer unless expressly stated.

Customers should check the appliance model number and all relevant product specifications carefully before ordering.

Spare Parts and Compatibility

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that a spare part or accessory is suitable for their appliance before purchasing.

Where possible, we provide compatibility information to assist customers in identifying the correct part. However, compatibility information should be treated as guidance unless we expressly confirm compatibility.

If you are unsure whether a part is suitable for your appliance, please contact us before placing your order.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by fitting a part that is unsuitable for an appliance where the customer has not confirmed compatibility with us.

Installation and Safety

Some spare parts and appliances may require installation by a suitably qualified or competent person.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are installed, fitted and used safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety requirements.

Where an installation requires a qualified electrician, gas engineer, technician or other appropriately qualified person, the customer should arrange for such installation to be carried out by a suitably qualified professional.

SPARES.IE accepts no responsibility for damage, injury or loss resulting from incorrect installation, improper use, modification or misuse of a product, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in the currency shown at checkout.

Where applicable, prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.

Delivery charges, taxes, customs duties or other charges applicable to an international order will be displayed or explained where applicable. There are no customs or duty charges for deliveries within Ireland.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or description errors on our website.

If an obvious pricing error has occurred, we may contact you before processing the order to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

Availability

All products are subject to availability.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that stock information displayed on our website is accurate. However, occasionally an item may become unavailable after an order has been placed.

If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you and, where applicable, offer an alternative or provide a refund for the unavailable product.

Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected by you.

After placing an order, you will normally receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order.

Receipt of an order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract for the sale of the products will be formed when we accept your order and confirm that the products have been dispatched, unless we notify you otherwise.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, significant pricing errors, stock availability issues or an inability to verify payment or delivery information.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.

Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

We may use third-party payment service providers to process payments securely. We do not normally have access to your full payment card details.

Orders will not be dispatched until payment has been successfully authorised, unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery

We deliver to destinations shown as available at checkout.

Delivery times displayed on our website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where available.

Delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, customs delays, severe weather, strikes, transport disruption or other events beyond our control.

For international orders, the customer may be responsible for import duties, customs charges, local taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Such charges are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

International Orders

We sell products to customers in countries outside Ireland where delivery is available.

Customers purchasing from outside Ireland are responsible for ensuring that the products they order are permitted to be imported and used in their country.

Customers are also responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges or other charges imposed by the destination country.

SPARES.IE cannot guarantee that every product will comply with the electrical, regulatory, plug, voltage or other requirements applicable in every country.

Customers outside Ireland should check local requirements before purchasing.

Cancellation – Your Right to Change Your Mind

If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to the applicable legal exceptions.

You do not normally have to give a reason for exercising this right.

If you wish to cancel under your statutory cancellation rights, please contact us at hello@spares.ie.

You must clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your order.

Following cancellation, the goods should be returned to us within the applicable legal timeframe.

Unless otherwise required by law, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your right to cancel.

We may delay reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.

Where applicable, refunds will be made using the original payment method.

Exceptions to Cancellation Rights

Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where an applicable legal exception applies.

This may include, depending on the circumstances:

  • Goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised goods.
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed.
  • Goods which, by their nature, become inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery.
  • Other goods falling within an applicable statutory exception.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, do not match their description, are not of the required quality or are otherwise not in conformity with the contract, please contact us as soon as possible.

You have statutory rights in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods. These rights are separate from your 14-day right to change your mind.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, your remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract and refund.

We may ask you to provide photographs, videos, product details or other reasonable information to help us investigate a reported issue.

We will not ask you to give up any statutory consumer rights.

Returns

Before returning an item, please contact us on hello@spares.ie so that we can provide the appropriate returns instructions.

Products should be returned securely packaged and, where possible, in their original condition and packaging.

Nothing in our returns procedure limits your statutory rights.

Spare Parts That Have Been Fitted or Used

Where you are returning a spare part because you have changed your mind, you should take reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession.

You may be responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, where permitted by law.

Where a product has been fitted, installed, modified or used, we do not accept returns.

This does not affect your statutory rights where the product is genuinely faulty or not in conformity with the contract.

Manufacturer Warranties

Where a product is supplied with a manufacturer's warranty or guarantee, the terms of that warranty or guarantee may apply in addition to your statutory rights.

A manufacturer's warranty does not replace or reduce your statutory consumer rights.

Product Information and Safety

Customers must read and follow all product instructions, warnings and safety information supplied with a product.

Where a product is recalled or we become aware of a significant safety issue, we may contact affected customers using the contact information associated with their order.

We may temporarily suspend, modify or withdraw parts of the website for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, payment providers, delivery providers or other external services.

We are not responsible for the content, security, privacy practices or availability of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to the above, we will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that arise indirectly from your use of the website or products.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include delivery partner system delays, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, war, terrorism, industrial disputes, transport disruption, cyber incidents, government action, supply-chain disruption or failures of third-party service providers.

We will make reasonable efforts to minimise the effect of such events.

Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we may share it with and the rights available to you.

Where you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to deprive you of mandatory protections available to you under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version displayed on our website at the time you place your order.

We will indicate the date on which these Terms & Conditions were last updated.
